Why Preteen Mental Health?
The preteen years, often recognized as the years between 9-14 years old, open a unique window of development that has potential to greatly inform who a person is becoming. It is not uncommon for mental health challenges to rise up during these formative preteen years. When these challenges remain under processed and symptoms remain undiagnosed, they can become barriers to connection and community as we become adults. The wellness of preteens has everything to do with the wellness of those who make up the systems and communities that they live within. That’s you. And that’s me. So let’s explore the opportunities we have to work together for the sake of deep connection and community!
